Nikon-F Lens Usability List for Sigma DSLR.

GENERAL NOTE: Some older versions might not mount due to slight diffrerences of the contemporary Nikon-F mount. Fixable with slight grinding or filing of either lens Bayonet or camera mount. There might be a production point were no trimming is necessary, so please take this list as a starting point and not as a base for making purchase decisions. The following list was published by our Forum member Tony . C. tcoglia@aol.com

All these lenses are used in Manual focus mode....my SD-14 is set to either M or A.

With all the lenses on the list the camera seemed to meter fine....the only issues came with Nikon G lenses...and Tokina lenses that have the aperture controlled by the camera settings....when using these lenses...you automatically are stoped down to the highest setting (if am am saying this right)...ie f22 or f32.

So any lens with *** after it I would say no to using these...just because you have no control over the F-Stop...

THIRD PARTY LENSES WITH NIKON F MOUNT

These lenses are not recomended. Our mounts are designed to comply with the original Nikon-F standard and there is too much variation in third party mount emulation that creates problems in some lenses . Some times there are production variations among identical lenses ,that some might work while other might not. We do not recomend using them.

CARL ZEISS OTUS F1.4 Not usable without modifications on aperture ring and lens digital profiling Bad Color cast on images in all kind of light, problems with aperture ring interference with release lever of mount , unable to reach full aperture unless modified.
